Payment Terms
Effective Date: August 2026
1. Overview
These Payment Terms apply to purchases made through the Muoteaw website.
By placing an order through our website, you acknowledge and agree to the payment terms described below.
These Payment Terms should be read together with our Terms & Conditions, Shipping Policy, and Return & Refund Policy.
Nothing in these Payment Terms is intended to exclude, restrict, or modify any rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded, restricted, or modified under applicable Australian law, including the Australian Consumer Law.
2. Accepted Payment Method
At this time, Muoteaw accepts payments through:
- Major credit and debit cards (processed via supported payment gateways)
- PayPal
PayPal is a third-party payment service that may allow customers to complete transactions using available payment methods supported by PayPal, which may include a PayPal balance, linked bank account, debit card, credit card, or other eligible payment methods.
The payment methods available to you may depend on your PayPal account, location, payment provider, and other factors determined by PayPal.
We do not currently accept cash, cheques, money orders, direct bank transfers, or other offline payment methods unless expressly stated on our website.
3. Payment Authorization
When submitting an order, you confirm that:
-
You are authorized to use the selected payment method.
-
The payment information provided is accurate and complete.
-
You have sufficient funds or available credit to complete the transaction.
-
The payment method is being used lawfully and with proper authorization.
All orders are subject to payment authorization and verification.
4. Order Confirmation
After your payment has been successfully authorized, we may send an order confirmation email containing information about your purchase.
Receipt of an order confirmation does not necessarily mean that the order has been accepted for fulfillment.
We may review an order before processing or dispatch and may cancel or decline an order where there is a legitimate reason, including:
-
Payment authorization failure
-
Suspected fraudulent or unauthorized activity
-
Obvious pricing or product listing errors
-
Product availability issues
-
Incomplete or inaccurate customer information
-
Delivery restrictions
-
Compliance with applicable laws or regulations
If an order is canceled after payment has been received, we will arrange an appropriate refund to the original payment method, subject to applicable law.
5. Pricing and Currency
Unless otherwise stated, all prices displayed on the Muoteaw website are in:
Australian Dollars (AUD)
Product prices may change from time to time.
The applicable product price and shipping charge will be displayed during checkout before you submit your order for payment.
If an obvious pricing error occurs, we may contact you to confirm whether you wish to proceed with the order at the correct price. Where appropriate, we may cancel the affected order and refund any payment already received.
6. Taxes and Charges
Prices and applicable charges will be presented during the purchasing process.
Where applicable, taxes required under Australian law will be reflected in the relevant price or checkout total.
The final amount payable, including applicable shipping charges and other disclosed charges, will be shown before payment is completed.
7. Payment Security
Muoteaw takes reasonable steps to help protect payment transactions and customer information.
Payments are processed through PayPal's payment infrastructure and are subject to PayPal's security practices, privacy policy, terms, and conditions.
Muoteaw does not generally store complete payment card information on our own servers.
Customers should also take reasonable steps to protect their PayPal account credentials and other payment information.
8. Failed or Declined Payments
An order may not be successfully processed if:
-
Payment authorization is declined
-
A PayPal transaction cannot be completed
-
Billing or payment information cannot be verified
-
The payment method is unavailable
-
Fraud prevention or security checks identify unusual activity
-
The payment session expires or is interrupted
If your payment is declined, please verify your payment information or contact PayPal or your relevant financial institution for assistance.
9. Payment Processing Delays
In some circumstances, payment processing may take longer than expected due to payment provider verification, security checks, banking processes, technical issues, or other circumstances outside our reasonable control.
Where additional verification is reasonably necessary, we may delay order processing or shipment until the payment has been successfully confirmed.
10. Refunds
Where a refund is approved, it will generally be issued to the original payment method used for the purchase.
For payments made through PayPal, the refund may be processed through PayPal.
The time required for a refund to appear in your account may vary depending on PayPal, the original payment method, and your financial institution.
For further information about returns and refunds, please refer to our Return & Refund Policy.
Nothing in this section limits any refund or other remedy required under the Australian Consumer Law.
11. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes
If you believe that a transaction has been processed incorrectly, we encourage you to contact our customer support team so that we can review the matter and attempt to resolve it.
Customers may also have rights to use applicable payment-provider dispute procedures.
We will cooperate reasonably with legitimate payment disputes and investigate relevant transaction information where appropriate.
We do not restrict or remove any rights that consumers may have under applicable Australian law.
12. Fraud and Payment Security Reviews
To help protect customers and prevent unauthorized transactions, certain orders may be subject to additional payment or order verification.
Additional verification may be required where an order appears unusual or presents a reasonable security concern.
If verification is required, order processing or shipment may be delayed until the relevant information has been verified.
We may cancel an order where we reasonably believe that a transaction is unauthorized, fraudulent, or otherwise unlawful, subject to applicable law.
13. Payment Information and Privacy
Personal information collected or processed in connection with payments will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable Australian privacy requirements.
Where payment information is processed by third-party payment providers, those providers may handle information in accordance with their own privacy policies and terms.
14. Payment Provider Availability
Muoteaw is not responsible for temporary interruptions, technical failures, or service limitations affecting PayPal, banks, card networks, or other third-party payment services.
If a payment cannot be completed due to a third-party payment service issue, you may need to retry the transaction or use another payment method available at checkout.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability or consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded under applicable Australian law.
15. Consumer Rights
Nothing in these Payment Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies consumer guarantees or other rights available under the Australian Consumer Law.
Where a payment, order, refund, or transaction is affected by a consumer right or remedy that applies under Australian law, Muoteaw will handle the matter in accordance with the applicable legal requirements.
16. Changes to These Payment Terms
We may update these Payment Terms from time to time to reflect changes to our payment methods, business operations, payment providers, or applicable laws and regulations.
Updated Payment Terms will be published on this page with a revised effective date.
Customers are encouraged to review the current version of these terms before completing a purchase.
